That Overwhelmed Feeling?
You know, the one you experience when you realize you've put things off far too long and now you HAVE to finish them the same week you've got babysit kids for 352 hours and many of those hours coincide with the times you've foolishly volunteered* to sit at the fair booth for clogging and the weather sucks because the humidity will not drop below 70%, which makes you cranky and puffy, and you sweat while washing dishes and require a shower after doing laundry, which creates more laundry, negating the whole process, and it doesn't matter what you do, the house is always a wreck and VBS starts next week and you have to make ANOTHER run to walmart because you forgot the fleece fabric you need to send for the mission project and as a teacher you should be doing a practice one of each of the crafts planned for the week so you don't look like a bumbling fool in front of the 4th graders when you want them to glue what? where? and it's supposed to look like...??? and instead you knit like a fiend because it soothes you and you've read umpteen books while avoiding real life and now 2 costumes have home with you from clogging because the word is out you can sew and they've asked you to re-do their old costumes to make them fit better and oh, yeah, can you have them done by Sunday? That'd be this Sunday when they clog for the State Fair, and have I mentioned you are feeling overscheduled? Now get more stuff in the mail and don't forget that the car STILL needs work and you need to get an estimate on that.
I have that feeling.
*Again with the volunteering.
