October 22, 1994: The Earner and I get married, full of hope for the future and loving thoughts of one another.
October 22, 1997: I am 7 1/2 months pregnant with twins, racked with crippling seizures, having one still born baby and one very sick Small Person delivered via emergency c-section.
October 22, 2007: My grandfather gives up his long battle against an ailing heart, dying of congestive heart failure at 7pm Central time.
I am oddly pleased that he "chose" our date to go. SP was his favorite great grandchild, and we just spent a week visiting with them before Lashes wedding, knowing that it would most likely be the last time.
